Lilit Hayrapetyan

Lilit was born in 1984, in Kapan. From 2001 to 2006, she studied at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. From 2007-2013, she continued her studies in the four-year Department of Painting at the Florence State Academy of Fine Arts. Through 2013 – 2016, she completed a two-year postgraduate course in Visual and Modern Languages at Florence Academy of Fine Arts. She lives and works in Florence.

Her research includes a mixture of different fields of visual arts, combining different techniques and performances (painting, installation, performance, Art/Therapy, photography, individual art projects). The works are based on the notions of “beginning”, “source”, endless search of absolute Love, body, soul, form, mind, voice.

Since 2017, she has been working on individual art projects and collaborating with a number of elementary and secondary schools in Florence, as well as volunteering with educational programs, charities by teaching Art/Therapy, the deep meaning of soul, truth, light, sound, color in art. Faith plays great role and is inseparable foundation for creativity. … When creativity becomes a prayer.

Since 2018, she has been a visual artist, collaborator in the archive of philosopher Luciano Caruso, archive artist.

2014 – STARTpoint, SEGNO CONTEMPORANEO Ghiberti’s room, Academy of Fine Arts, Florence.

2013 – Invited, with 8 other young artists, to participate in an art project for RAI Educational TV, initiated by the Florence Academy of Fine Arts.

2013 – Dialogue between Art and Science, Nature and History Museum, Florence

2011 – Clothes made of alternative and unusual materials for fashion and design, paper in fashion, “The Charm of Paper”, Milan Triennale, Museum of Design. The work was published in the online magazine Fashion in Paper VOGUE, 2011, Milan.

2011-2013 – “STARTpoint Fashion in Paper” travelling exhibition (Rome, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Florence). A project promoted by the Province of Milan.

2010 – “Astronomical Calendar” in memory of Galileo Galilei, Archaeological Museum, Florence.
